Arevim is the only platform which enables Jews to easily offer help, and more importantly to seek immediate help from fellow Jews using their smartphones.
The concept behind the Arevim app is the ancient Hebrew maxim, “Kol Israel Arevim Ze La-Ze” – all Jews are responsible for helping each other.
The app’s goal is to bring this concept into modern, everyday life, making this type of help possible anytime, anywhere.
With Arevim, Jews who need help are able to post their request using the app, and immediately reach all members of the Arevim network who are located within a specified geographical area. The app then enables direct chat between the requesting party and the responder, allowing the two parties to communicate and coordinate.
Registration for Arevim is quick and simple, using an email address or a Facebook account.
You can send requests for help as well as offer help to other members of the Arevim Jewish network, and find solutions to your daily challenges– such as:
- Find a Minyan
- Seek help for an elderly person (i.e. run errands, provide company, etc.)
- Find a place to stay on Shabbat wherever you are
- Get Kosher foods or ingredients
- Locate professionals who are members of the community
- Seek immediate help should you find yourself in distress
The Arevim app is simple to use – simply open the app, choose the type of help you need from a pre-defined list of requests or spell our exactly what you need. Select the geographical range for sending your request. Then press “Send.” The app lets you know how many Arevim will receive your message, so you immediately know how many members of the network are within reach.
Arevim respects your privacy, doesn’t follow your conversations, and also respects the need to post anonymous messages.
Enjoy and share!
